Operations Staff

Tye
Megan
Cassandra

Cassandra is currently engaged in several tasks. She is working on the Metrics Dashboard, collaborating with Tye to aggregate and refine data from all departments, and developing a prototype for a heat-mapping dashboard that is slated for presentation to Devin and Ryan on Tuesday. Additionally, she is actively progressing through the Organic Certification application process and has ongoing commitments to the Enerva cohorts, ensuring she meets all required tasks and deliverables. In the area of Food Safety, she is refining tasks for Big Marble Farms and Rolling Acres.
Recently, she successfully completed and submitted the Growing Greenhouses Program grant application. Moreover, she is making updates to the LMIA for Packhouse workers, ensuring all name changes are accurate and preparing Apostille documents for submission in the coming days.
Looking ahead, Cassandra's upcoming priorities include assisting Ray with the PAS audit, reviewing and updating the lobbyist registry, collaborating with Anna on the Energy Report while maintaining communication regarding power export nominations, and continuing her work on data management to validate the accuracy of reports.
There are currently no identified risks or roadblocks affecting her work.
Misty

Misty is engaged in various tasks including preparing the TFW Package, conducting mail pick-ups, attending boardroom meetings, assisting with a pizza party setup, sourcing golf swag, counting uniforms, and finalizing details for an upcoming event in Toronto. She is actively securing a contract for the Fireside room and awaiting a response regarding the Fun Casino Ladies.
She successfully completed multiple tasks, such as distributing uniforms to Redcliff workers, arranging signage for the CPMA booth, acquiring engraved Yeti cups, and booking travel for attendees to Langley. Additionally, she streamlined boardroom bookings, organized office moves, and addressed maintenance issues within the office.
Looking forward, Misty plans to update sizing data in the master spreadsheet, order more uniforms for future distribution, and finalize swag designs for smaller lunch bags and Special Olympics pins. She intends to continue progressing through her current tasks.
Misty has identified challenges around role clarity, particularly concerning marketing-related responsibilities. Some tasks were reassigned back to the marketing team, leading her to reflect on the potential for overstepping without clear ownership and approval processes in place. This ambiguity carries a risk of miscommunication and could hinder her ability to contribute effectively.
Ray

Ray is currently engaged in multiple tasks, including the application of palladium every five days and fogging nova on Fridays in GH3, alongside spraying LE with palladium in GH2. He has completed the spraying tasks as scheduled. Looking ahead, his upcoming priorities include ongoing spraying efforts.
There are notable risks and challenges within the operations. Mini picks are currently low across the board, particularly in GH2, despite the visual health of the crops. Additionally, GH3's LE is struggling with mildew, and GH1's LE crop is affected by MNSV and age-related decline. It is anticipated that mini picks will improve once the crops reach double yields.
Nadine

Nadine is currently focused on making connections on the packhouse line and learning about its operations. She has successfully completed the setup for employee of the month recognition, organized a pizza party to celebrate achievements in the packhouse, and entered all health forms for maintenance. Her immediate priority is to continue progressing with the tasks she has in progress. She has identified some challenges related to managing her learning pace, as she feels the pressure of absorbing information quickly.
Chrystina

Chrystina is currently managing several tasks, including the T4s and WCB process, where she is awaiting necessary TFW SINs, assisting with the packhouse KPI spreadsheets, responding to Kyla's queries regarding quarterly bank reporting, and working on American Express application forms.
She has completed various important tasks such as weekly cash position reporting, settlement report entries, biweekly payroll, and several critical documentation tasks including a bill of sale for a vehicle purchase and email communications to ensure timely approval of timesheets for payroll purposes.
Looking ahead, Chrystina is preparing for the biweekly payment package and is slated to participate in training on a new digital visa package system this Friday, alongside Cassandra.
There are a few challenges impacting her workflow. She is currently dealing with a pending response from American Express on application forms and an unclear invoice from Quadient for $41,000, which may affect budgeting if not clarified promptly. Additionally, the ongoing issues with timesheet approvals present a potential risk for payroll accuracy and deadlines.

Greenhouse Managers

Delfin

Delfin is currently managing several tasks. In progress, the focus is on maintaining growth in the mini varieties, with both the LE heads and varieties like Avalantino and Formoza showing strength. However, there are concerns regarding fruit sizing not meeting expectations and a minor issue with mildew in the minis. Completed tasks include successfully spraying floramite in tomatoes and low-pressure whitefly management. Looking ahead, priorities include maintaining performance in LE for the next three weeks and managing a steady harvest for MC. TOV, Roma, and Avalantino are tracking average but slightly lower than desired. There's a minor challenge with contractors affecting grow light operations, but overall, it is not a significant setback.
Duane

Duane is currently managing ongoing tasks related to crop health, specifically monitoring and mitigating mildew pressure across various compartments, which is showing signs of improvement thanks to the use of alternating treatments. He successfully completed pest and disease management tasks, including effectively controlling thrips in M.C. and maintaining low MNSV spread.
Looking ahead, Duane anticipates increased productivity as picking rates have risen in L.E. while experiencing a slight decrease in Minis, prompting a need to monitor this trend closely. There are no significant staffing issues reported, indicating solid team effort despite being short-staffed, and the greenhouse is well-maintained without major equipment problems, aside from a minor alarm system issue.
Overall, there are no critical risks or roadblocks noted, and operations appear to be running smoothly.
Remson

Remson is currently managing multiple tasks, focused primarily on addressing weak plants affected by disease. The two crops in progress have distinct challenges, with LE plants showing symptoms of aging and disease, and Mini crops affected by a melon virus. Treatment for various pests and diseases, including spider mites and root disease, has been initiated, but issues like thrips pressure in Mini and mildew in LE remain ongoing concerns.
Remson successfully completed the stabilization of predator bugs in both crops, and the whole team met their deadlines for tasks this week. As for upcoming priorities, LE production is targeted at 6,243 baskets, which is a decrease from the previous week, while Mini production aims to reach 4,398 baskets, showing an increase.
There are a few risks and roadblocks identified, particularly regarding plant health and pest pressure, which may impact production levels. Additionally, challenges such as previously malfunctioning equipment were noted but have been addressed.
